These machines were invented in Finland by the organic arable farmer and consultant Boris Lindgard.

The soil is loosened very shallowly with the hoe-cultivator. Soil life is disturbed as little as possible. This is followed by a rotor that throws the plants through the air. This shakes the soil from the root of the weed, and the plant withers. Extremely suitable for cultivation and other ground cover plants.

The Kvick-Finn machines are also used to tear grassland. And to reduce green manure.
