The soil can be loosened very shallowly with the hoe-cultivator. Soil life is disturbed as little as possible. This is followed by a rotor that throws the plants through the air. This shakes the soil from the root of the weed, and the plant withers.

With deeper processing, the machine is extremely suitable for growing and other (resistant) root weeds.

The machines are also used to tear grassland and to reduce covercrops.
